Evan Reiner is a complicated man. He grew up in the outskirts of LA listening to Slayer, Cannibal Corpse and Hardcore and now makes beats steeped in loneliness and isolation. It's got an early Ninja Tune sound and feel to it but roughed up and lonelier, alot lonelier. Still it's how I like my beats, melancholic. Most certainly check out his album 'Automaton' on Innovative Leisure and get a glimpse into a distant childhood (although I don't think it's his) through this abstract video.
